CPCAB Level 2 Listening Support Skills

Level 2 Award in Listening Support Skills 
A stand-alone course for anyone who might be interested helping others or is interested in progressing to further counselling training. This course is aimed at those aspiring to develop listening and responding skills in the helper role; skills that are already used in everyday life, gaining the opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised qualification in the process.
 
 
This unit/qualification is intended for candidates who wish to use listening support skills in any of the following ways:

  • peer support work
  • as an important element of work as a helping professional
  • to improve work relations by supporting colleagues at work
  • to work with helping relationships
  • to support service users
  • to support the roles of para-professionals and volunteers drawn from the
    local community
  • to enhance community relations.
You may already work as a volunteer or an employee in the community.
 
Your learning will be through group discussion, tutor input, skills practice and personal reflection.
 
The course will run over five sessions of four hours each, making a total of 20 hours. You will have a course folder to record your learning and there will be an external assessment. No previous training is required.

This course is completely free to those that are eligible.
If you are not eligible for subsidised training the following fees will apply.
